About the property:

The house is situated on a corner of a small quiet,square in the old town of Meze. It has been newly restored by interior designer, owner, in retro sixties style with a great attention to detail to ensure a high standard of modern comfort. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms all windows are double glazed and it is air conditioned on the first and second floors.

The house is on three floors. The first floor has a light and airy open plan kitchen living area. The fully fitted kitchen has an electric oven, hob, dishwasher microwave and large fridge freezer with plenty of work surface and storage. There are table and chairs for six, with a comfortable sofa and chair. There is a wall mounted TV for your use.

The second floor has a bedroom with custom built bunk beds being full sized single beds with comfortable mattresses suitable for adults or children. The master bedroom has a king sized (150cms) double bed and en-suite shower room.The bedroom has lovely views across the Etang de Thau oyster beds to Sete. The en-suite shower room has a pretty flower patterned sink and purpose built shower unit. Both bedrooms have ample storage and hanging space. There is a separate WC in the hallway.

On the ground floor is a further bathroom with a roll top bath, sink and WC. The washing machine is also housed here.
There is plenty of parking either in the square or within 50yds of the house. The beach and port of Meze is a five minute stroll. A wifi internet connection is available. The house has steep stairs which may not be suited to folks with limited mobility. Sheets, towels and hairdriers are provided

 
 

ABOUT THE VILLAGE:

Meze

The picturesque port of Meze is filled with restaurants and cafes. There is something for everyone in Meze, fresh fish and seafood abound washed down with a chilled glass of the local Picpoul de Pinet white wine. The market takes place twice a week along with the daily covered market in the town centre.
You can sail on the lagoon or take lessons in windsurfing or kite surfing, there are boat trips to the oyster beds and across the lagoon. There is a sandy beach suitable for children and bathing and the more extensive sandy beaches between Marseillan and Sete are a short drive away.
During the summer months there are many festivals including music for all tastes and theatre. You should not miss the Joutes, an ancient game of jousting across the port on boats which occurs most weekend. There are dedicated cycle tracks around the lagoon some parts are suitable for roller skates.
Around Meze are numerous vineyards which welcome visitors for wine tastings. Activities for children (and young at heart) include the the fun fair at Vias, Go Karting at Agde, Ariel adventure park at Montagnac and the Dinosaur museum.
