About the property:

Bijou is situated in the ancient village of Belarga which is on the river Herault. There is a beach suitable for swimming and fishing (in season with permit). The village has a bar/restaurant, village shop with daily deliveries of fresh bread and post office. Tennis courts close to the river. Mediterranean beaches 20mins, Lake Salagou for swimming & windsurfing 20mins. A wide range of shops and restaurants are available in the historic town of Pezenas 10Kms.

On three levels, the house has been fully restored, with exposed beams, whitewashed walls and terracotta tiled floors. Simply but comfortably furnished throughout. Parking is available about 20yds away from the house.

The front door opens into a large vaulted sitting room with sofa bed suitable for over night guests.A stone staircase leads to the first floor with an open plan living area with a fitted kitchen equipped with electric oven, hob washing machine and fridge. Living area has comfortable chairs, sofa and dining table. A large window overlooks the quite street. A TV and DVD player and music centre are available for your use. A stone staircase leads to the third floor with a double bedroom with wardrobe and storage. There is an ensuite shower room with hand basin and WC and walk in shower..
NB: Electricity is included for all seasons except low, when it is payable by meter reading all house linen is included.

 
 

ABOUT THE VILLAGE:

Belarga

The village is situated on the river Herault, a beach area has been created to enable bathing, during the summer months there is a beach bar in the evenings. There is a bar/restaurant in the village along with a small village shop with daily fresh bread deliveries. Belarga is a great base for touring the region, Mediterranean beaches are a half an hour drive away and there is plenty of walking in the surrounding vineyards. The closest town is Pezenas with its Saturday market and wealth of historic architecture. Here too you will find a huge number of antique and brocante shops with something for all tastes.
