Authentic winegrowers house with swimming pool surrounded by vineyards on the edge of the lively village of Montpeyroux where visitors are encouraged to join in the summer fêtes which take place during July and August. The village is well served with shops including a bakery/patisserie, grocer, butcher, post office, small cafe/bar restaurant and small weekly market. The nearest supermarket is 10 minutes drive in Gignac. Montpeyroux is well known for the high quality of its wine and boasts several of the regions best producers. Swim at Mediterranean beaches 35 mins, Lac Salagou 10 mins, Hérault river 10 mins. There is excellent walking from the front door and surrounding hills .The house is on two storeys and is set in its own grounds, with uninterrupted views of the surrounding hills and vineyards as far as the eye can see. The pool is which is fed from its own well was originally a small water reservoir. It is chemically treated and filtered in the normal way. Original features of the house include exposed stone walls, wooden beams and terracotta tiled floors. It is furnished simply throughout including many antique pieces. On the ground floor there is a large open plan comfortably furnished living area with a large dinning table and chairs for eight. French windows lead to the garden. The kitchen area is separated by a breakfast bar and is well equipped with a gas cooker, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and small kitchen appliances. There is a second small living room with a sofa bed and a large open fireplace, this room also serves as the entrance hall and has opens to the south facing gardens. On this floor you will find a simple shower room with hand held shower and wash hand basin also a separate WC. An open tread wooden staircase leads from the living area to the Mezzanine and second floor. There is a double bedroom with an interconnecting twin bedroom, a second double bedroom and a second bathroom with WC, handbasin, and bath with hand shower. The mezzanine area offers a second living area with a TV with French channels. The extensive garden area is is planted with mature trees and flowering shrubs. Lovers of nature will appreciate the surrounding local wildlife and enjoy dining under the old plum tree with the singing cigadas. The water supply for the house is from a natural spring which is not recommended for drinking.
